Brittany Patel

Hi, I’m Brittany! Co-founder of Roswell Social and Mahjong Teaching Queen!

I’m a wife, mom to two humans and three fur babies, a nurse anesthetist, and a lifelong lover of connection, creativity, and bringing people together.

My love for the Mahjong community started long before Roswell Social. It began by sharing Mahjong content on my personal Instagram, where I found so much joy in connecting with others over beautiful tablescapes, unique tiles, stylish accessories, and all the little details that make the game so special. What started as a creative outlet quickly grew into meaningful friendships with fellow Mahjong enthusiasts from all over the country, and continues today.

As a nurse anesthetist, caring for others has always been at the center of my life. But outside of my career, I’ve always had a passion for hosting, creating beautiful spaces, and making people feel welcome. I believe there is something truly special about gathering around a table: the conversations that happen, the friendships that form, and the memories that are created. One of my favorite things about Mahjong is the way it brings together multiple generations, and I love that I’m already sharing my love for the game with my four-year-old daughter.

That passion for bringing people together grew into Roswell Social when Kristin approached me with the idea of creating a hosting company centered around connection and community. Together, we built a space where Mahjong could be more than just a game, it could be a beautifully curated experience.

I have always been drawn to the beauty in the details: thoughtfully designed tablescapes, unique Mahjong tiles and accessories, beautiful colors, and the thoughtful touches that make a gathering feel unforgettable. For me, creating an event is about more than setting a table, it’s about creating a feeling. A place where someone can walk in and instantly feel welcomed, inspired, and connected.

Roswell Social is a celebration of friendship, creativity, and the joy of gathering. Kristin and I pour our hearts into every event, thoughtfully curating each detail so our guests can relax, play, laugh, and enjoy the moment.

When I’m not hosting Mahjong socials, you’ll find me spending time with my family, working as a nurse anesthetist, creating content on @lifewithbrittanycrna, searching for beautiful Mahjong finds, or dreaming up our next gathering.

Thank you for being part of our community. We can’t wait to welcome you to the table.

Kristin Smith

Meet Kristin! Co-Founder of Roswell Social and Hostess with the Mostest!

If you ask Kristin why Roswell Social exists, her answer has very little to do with Mahjong.

It has everything to do with people.

She believes every woman deserves a place where she feels welcomed the moment she walks through the door. A place where showing up alone doesn't feel intimidating, conversations come naturally, laughter is shared freely, and strangers slowly become lifelong friends.

Like so many women, Kristin knows how easy it is for life to become consumed by careers, families, and endless responsibilities—leaving little time to invest in meaningful friendships. Roswell Social was born from a simple but powerful idea: creating intentional spaces where community comes first and genuine connection happens naturally.

Mahjong just happened to be the perfect reason to gather.

What began as a personal obsession with the game quickly became something much bigger. Kristin fell in love not only with the  beauty of Mahjong, but with the way it effortlessly brings people together around one table. Every hand played creates another opportunity for conversation, encouragement, celebration, and belonging.

Today, Kristin pours that same passion into curating every Roswell Social experience—from beautiful tablescapes and thoughtful details to warm welcomes and meaningful moments that make every guest feel like they've found "their people."

Her hope is simple:

That Roswell Social becomes more than an event.

That it becomes a tradition.

A place where friendships are built, milestones are celebrated, new faces are always welcomed, and everyone knows there's a seat waiting for them.

Because at the end of the day, Mahjong is just the beginning.

The real win is the community built around the table.

Until next time… we'll always save you a seat.
